Holiday Broom Making with Brooms & Blessings: $75 ($50 for instruction, $25 for materials)
During this 2 hour workshop, participants will create a decorative Hawk Tail Whisk Broom while learning about the history of broom making. Participants will use traditional broom making techniques, including the “V-Up” strategy, to develop an appreciation for the decorative styles of this Appalachian craft. Participants will incorporate naturally dyed broom corn & locally resourced ornaments to create these personalized works of art. Broomcorn colors and ornaments will vary.
