Event Type

This class will teach a single 1/4″ cuff bracelet using a copper cuff and Nantucket cane. Students will learn how to wrap the bracelet using natural cane and black cane. The kit comes with all of the supplies each student will need to weave the bracelet. It includes cane weavers and black and cream end caps which are specially made to fit the bracelet once it is woven. Also included in the kit are clips to hold weaving in place, a sponge to keep your weavers damp so they will not break and written instructions to make the bracelet if needed.

Students will learn how to use cane, and learn which is the right side, the wrong side of a cane weaver. and how different sizes of weavers affect the look of the bracelet. They will learn to experiment with different wraps, and I will bring examples of bracelets already made for them to see. I will talk about the different kinds of designs they can use their own bracelet made in class.

There is no age limit or previous experience needed. Students high school age to retirees are welcome.
